●Jar and Lid Assembly Specifications - Material: Plastic jar bottle with plastic lid and plastic adaptor connector; Connector: 1/5" (5mm) size adaptor at a 30° down angle; Fluid Capacity: 2.7 fl oz (20 cc); Bottle Height: 3.75"; Bottle Diameter: 1.5"
●Not For Use with Singe-Action Airbrushes: Do not use these 30° down angle jar and lid assemblies with single-action airbrushes, as the jars will tilt backward when attached, which interferes with the hose connection. FAQ
1.Question: does it come with both input and output fittings? pictures don't always tell the truth. 2) what sizes and thread types are the two fittings?
Answer: Yes, it does come with the fittings as shown. However, the pressure gauge may or may not line up the way it is shown in the picture, as I found out.
2.Question: Water trap doesn't hold air anymore, what gives?
Answer: Not exactly sure what you mean by “doesn’t hold air” so I will assume you mean that the bowl leaks air whenever air pressure is applied to the inlet. The unit I have purchased has worked flawlessly but previous units I have used have occasionally developed leaks. In general there could be four reasons fir this. [1] The plastic bowl could be broken & would need to be replaced. [2] the bowl is loose & needs to be hand tightened by gripping it with your fingers & turning it clockwise into the base. [3] The bowl O-ring is missing, damaged or out of position. Unscrew the bowl & remove it from the base. An O-ring should come out with it. Make sure it is not cut or damaged. Carefully place it on the rim of the bowl & replace the bowl & ring together in the base. A tiny dab of Vaseline on the O.ring will help it seat properly. Finally [4], dirt can get into the seat of the spring loaded drain valve on the bottom of the bowl. Push the pin a few times with the valve with full air pressure applied to clear any dirt that might be keeping the valve from seating. Hope this helps.
3.Question: What is the maximum inlet pressure?
Answer: I found that the best psi is between 30 to 35 psi and that’s for me. It may range depending on what your doing and type of airbrush. But you do not want to exceed over 45 psi
