1.Question:

Are these pliers insulated?

Answer:

The coated handles will provide protection up to 120V. I know because I've accidentally cut into live 120V wires with these pliers without getting shocked. These pliers are not insulated for high voltage (above 120V) work.

2.Question:

How would they work on number 9 construction steel wire

Answer:

As an electrician I'm familiar with different gauge wires, and we refer to them as #2,#4,#6, and so on. I don't know if that's the same as steel wire, but if so. These will definitely cut, and twist it with no problem!

3.Question:

I have small hands and was suggested to me to purchase high intensity lineman's to make cutting easier. Any suggestions?
